If you want to have luck at the online poker table then you need to help it along a little bit.  The goal in online poker is to win and a Texas Holdem poker player trying to gain some poker luck for himself needs to use basic mathematics to help luck along a little bit.

When Texas Holdem poker players, regardless if they are playing at an online poker table or in person poker table, don’t defy the mathematical odds and poker rules of thumb, they won’t lose as much money or feel as if they aren’t lucky.  It’s amazing how unlucky a poker player is when he is constantly defying the solid mathematics of basic poker.  Sure, a Texas Holdem poker player may catch the occasional lucky draw on marginal to weak poker hands, but often he will suffer what seem to be “bad beats” when he draws on poker hands that should have been thrown into the muck.  And we all know what happens at both online poker websites and in person casino poker tables to poker players that believe, justly or unjustly, that they suffered a bad beat, they go off the deep end.

There is a definite difference between Lady Luck and poker knowledge.  A poker player at the poker table with strong poker hands must still have the level headed analytical poker thinking skills to be able to decipher the reads of the community cards/board and be able to know his outs in relation to the likely outs and nut poker hands that other Texas Holdem poker players at that poker table can draw.  The possible superior poker hands that can be drawn against your poker hands at a poker table, the more potential bad luck you will bring against yourself when bucking those poker hands.

One of the best poker rules for a Texas Holdem poker player to turn luck into his favor is to learn the poker math and odds in relation to both his poker hand and the poker hands of the other Texas Holdem poker players at the poker table.  A poker player should use luck by mastering the board reads in conjunction with his own poker hands and poker hands of his poker opponents at the Texas Holdem poker table both at online poker websites and in person casino poker tables.  World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour poker players that are frequently at a final poker table have been able to do this and create their own lucky breaks by knowing basic poker math which is not that hard to learn.  Helping luck along sometimes is the big key to winning when you are playing poker, especially when you are playing at online poker sites.
